I recently worked for a client on a website developed by a large web-design, pay-per-click, SEO (search engine optimization) type of firm. It’s always interesting to see how the big boys do things.
They were very professional, very responsive, and very helpful whenever I gave them notes or had questions. The website itself is beautiful and easy to edit.
What was interesting was to compare their content writing services and SEO services with what I provide.
Although, what the company provided was okay, it just wasn’t up to par with what someone who specializes in the above can deliver.
From a sales perspective, the copy was grammatically correct, but saleswise, it was bleh.
Then the SEO was done in such a way it would not provide the very best search results for local markets.
And because SEO affects how the snippets appear in a Google search, they should be written in such a way as to entice sales, not just show up in rankings.
