Announce New Pages Everywhere

In my last tip, I discussed putting a link to a new or updated web page on your social media in order to get indexed quickly by Google.

Megaphone for Announcing

In this tip, I want to discuss another advantage to posting the page on your social media.

You’ve just invested time and, maybe, money into developing a new web page.

If you’re a furniture dealer, maybe your new page is about …

  • a new designer collection just in from Europe
  • a gorgeous room your staff interior decorator designed for a customer
  • how to properly clean upholstery without invalidating the warranty

Whether the page is about something super impressive or just plain helpful, your customers will be happy to have the information.

So announce it. Announce it everywhere you can. You can post a “What’s New” link on your home page. You can announce it on your Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and other social media accounts. And don’t forget to announce it in your email newsletter.

All this effort will drive traffic to your website and help your website stay relevant and fresh, helping you to build trust between you and your customer base.

By the way, you can also use this strategy for older pages you update, not to mention keeping your search rankings (SEO) strong.
