How to Get Cool Word Clouds for Your Website

Have you ever seen those nifty “word clouds” that folks have on their websites? Did you ever want one but didn’t know where to get one?

Word Cloud

Your best option is to have a talented graphic designer build one for you. Your word cloud would be precise and get the words in just the right positions.

But let’s say you’re on a tight budget and maybe in a hurry. No worries. You can get a word cloud for free, too. Just go to Wordle and click on “Create.”

Enter the words you wish to use and click “Go.” A word cloud will appear. Then use the handy tools Wordle provides to modify your cloud. You can change the font, colors, layout, orientation, and more.

Because this is a machine-generated word cloud, I suggest using just one word rather than a phrase. When I tried phrases, the tool didn’t keep the phrases together. Again, with a graphic designer, you can be more precise and get your word arrangements just right.

Here’s a simple cloud I made with these words: Sale. Furniture. Sofas. Dining. Children’s. Elegant. Casual. Entertainment. Tables. Chairs. Bedrooms.
