Give AI Something to Write About

So now many folks search for information on AI first rather than Google.

I don’t know that AI search will ever over take Google, but it’s a good idea to strive to show up well in an AI search.

The good news is AI is getting better at delivering accurate information.

Last year when I asked ChatGPT to write a bio about me, it was pretty awful. It made up a lot of stuff … stuff I liked, actually, but stuff that wasn’t true.

This year it was spot-on. Everything it wrote about me was true.

And most all of the info was sourced either directly or indirectly from my website.

I ran some tests on a few of my clients by running various search queries to see how my clients fared.

My clients performed very well. ChatGPT delivered excellent biographical and/or company summaries.

I have always considered websites the “mothership” of a company’s online marketing. So I recommend keeping up your website with updated information.

However, AI is also pulling from all manner of online platforms and blending them together.

As an aside, it might be an idea to run some of these searches to find out if there’s incorrect or outdated information about your company out there. When you get the summary, ChatGPT says where it got the information. If it’s incorrect, you can go to that platform and change it.

Easy Web Tip 366: Develop your website and other online platforms well, so that AI has good resources to answer queries.
