If you are a local company and you need to advertise within a mere 30 to 45 miles radius and you haven’t tried Facebook / Instagram / Messenger advertising, you might want to give it a whirl.
It’s quite affordable.
When a client asks me about whether to do Google Ads or Facebook ads, if it makes sense for the target market, I always recommend first trying Facebook / Instagram / Messenger ads.

To do so, simply go into your Meta Business Suite via your Facebook account and follow the prompts for creating an ad or boosting a post.
Begin with a modest daily budget, say $10 to $15 a day. You can always add more spend if desired later.
I recommend customizing as much as you can yourself rather than selecting Facebook’s “automated”or “default” options.
Generally, when I’ve tried default options, money has been wasted.
One important default, I do recommend is the button regarding “placement.” It looks like this …

By keeping this button on, your ads will show up on more platforms than just Facebook, Instagram, and Messenger. For example, I see my clients’ ads show up while I’m playing my word games at night on my phone.
It does take some time to learn how to drive the tool. Though not rocket science, it can get tricky. And aggravating.
When in doubt, just ask a question on Google or ChatGPT or whatever your current favorite search modality.
The ads are easy to turn on and off.
The results are easy to see.
By the way, I don’t have experience with LinkedIn and TikTok ads, but if their audience, or any other social platform, makes sense for you, go ahead and give them a try.
